The programme applies to all domestic routes as well those between Vietnam and foreign destinations, including Tokyo and Osaka in Japan; Seoul, Busan and Daegu in South Korea; Hong Kong; Kaohsiung; Taipei, Taichung and Tainan in Taiwan; Singapore; Bangkok, Phuket and Chiang Mai in Thailand; Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia; Yangon in Myanmar and Siem Reap in Cambodia.
Low-cost airline Vietjet has already started selling tickets for the 2019 Lunar New Year.
The sales period applies to the period from January 22 to February 18, 2019.
On this occasion, the carrier will also open some new air routes.
Passengers are advised to book tickets early to enjoy cheaper prices and guaranteed flight availability. They have also been advised to pay attention to baggage allowances.
The Tet holiday will run from February 2-10, 2019.
