A session of presentations featuring Japanese Futomaki sushi will be held in Hanoi on September 20.
The event is jointly organized by the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam and the Japanese province of Chiba’s traditional culinary research association, with support from the Embassy of Japan.
Event participants will get a chance to learn about a special type of sushi through presentations by Japanese culinary experts. They will also get to taste the food made at the session.
According to Wikipedia, Futomaki sushi is a large cylindrical piece, usually wrapped in seaweed. A typical Futomaki is five to six centimeters in diameter.
They are often filled with a combination of several ingredients arranged as colorful paintings.
The event will take place at the Nikko Hotel from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at 84 Tran Nhan Tong Street in Hai Ba Trung District.
