Prime Minister: Clarify violations by Asanzo, strictly punish by law

The Prime Minister has just issued a document to the Ministry of Finance in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Industry and Trade to promptly inspect, verify and clarify violations by Asanzo.

The document clearly stated that in the past, in some media, there are many articles reflecting Asanzo Electronics Vietnam Joint Stock Company importing products produced in other countries but labeled with Vietnamese origin.

The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Finance – Standing Office of the National Steering Committee 389 to chair and coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Industry and Trade and relevant agencies to promptly check and verify press information reflecting the case Asanzo company work and clarification of violations to strictly handle in accordance with the law.

The Prime Minister also asked the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade to direct functional agencies (Customs, Market Management …) to review the implementation of state management and the duties and duties assigned in this case. , review and clarify responsibilities in accordance with the law.

The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade urgently carry out the above tasks, reporting to the Prime Minister before July 30.

Before questioning “Asanzo is a Chinese product of Vietnam”, recently CEO Asanzo – Mr. Pham Van Tam replied that the Asanzo product is not “made in Vietnam” but originated in Vietnam.

Mr. Tam asserted that Asanzo imported components from China to assemble into products with nothing new. However, when labeling, packaging as well as in warranty paper, Asanzo is aware of that, so only write “Made in Vietnam” instead of “Made in Vietnam” on the product.

According to Mr. Tam, as of the first half of 2018, Asanzo still assembled household electrical goods. About 1 year ago, Asanzo no longer assembled household electrical goods. This time Asanzo assigned this line of products to the supporting companies, Tam said.

Therefore, since that time, there have been two different product lines on the market but with modern and Asanzo logos. The first branch includes household electrical appliances assembled by Asanzo in the first half of 2018 and labeled Vietnam. With the second branch, these devices were imported to Vietnam by the subsidiary companies of Asanzo and originated from China.
