The University of Social Sciences and Humanities under the Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City started Thursday a pilot project to teach some of the school’s majors in English.
This project is now carried out on students of certain specialties of the international relations, journalism-media, cultural studies, tourism, sociology, history, and anthropology departments.
“The classes will be taught by instructors who graduated from overseas universities,” Dr. Pham Tan Ha, head of the school’s training department, said.
“Upon graduation, students’ academic transcripts will specify which subjects they have studied with English as the medium of instruction.”
According to Dr. Ha, the university will widely launch the project in all majors and faculties in 2015.
