The “Very High Energy Phenomena in the Universe” international physics conference began on Monday in Quy Nhon City, the capital of Binh Dinh Province.
The event, held by the International Center of Interdisciplinary Science Education in collaboration with the Rencontre du Vietnam (Meet Vietnam) organization and the Binh Dinh People’s Committee, has attracted 75 scientists and researchers from 21 countries and territories across the globe.
According to the organizers, the main topics of the conference include Gamma ray astronomy, Cosmic rays, Neutrino astronomy, Gamma ray bursts, dark matter, and multi-messenger astronomy.
Professor Tran Thanh Van, chairman of Rencontre du Vietnam, said “Very High Energy Phenomena in the Universe” follows the success of the “Exoplanetary Science” conference the organization held in the same city in central Vietnam in April.
After the ongoing conference which will run until August 9, Quy Nhon will continue to host another conference, “Physics at LHC and Beyond,” from August 10 to 17.
The event will also be organized by the Rencontre du Vietnam organization.
Earlier, Rencontre du Vietnam held the “Flavour Physics” conference in Quy Nhon from July 27 to August 2
